This Policy explains how we collect and use personal data when you visit gloclean.om, contact us (including via WhatsApp), or use our pickup & delivery services.
Personal data we collect
- Identity & contact: name, mobile number, email, address and location pin.
- Order details: items/garments, care preferences, delivery slot.
- Communications: messages, images, voice notes you send via WhatsApp or web forms.
- Device/usage: basic analytics (pages viewed, timestamps, IP address).
- Payments (if used): transaction references from our payment provider (no full card numbers stored).
Why we use your data (purposes)
- Provide pickups, cleaning, deliveries, and customer support.
- Send service updates (order status, driver arrival) and important notices.
- Improve service quality, safety, and prevent misuse (limited analytics/logs).
- Marketing: send offers or surveys only with your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Legal basis (Oman PDPL) & how we obtain consent
We rely on your explicit consent to process personal data, including to contact you via WhatsApp and for any marketing. You may revoke consent at any time; we will then stop processing unless another PDPL exception applies.
WhatsApp as a channel
When you message us on WhatsApp, your data is also processed by Meta (WhatsApp) under its own terms as a separate controller. We use WhatsApp in line with its business policies. Please don’t send card numbers or other sensitive data in chat.
Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies and minimal analytics to operate and improve the site. You can control cookies in your browser settings. We do not sell personal data or use invasive tracking.
Sharing your data
Service providers: delivery partners, IT/hosting, payment processors—only what’s necessary and under confidentiality.
Legal & safety: where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
International transfers
Our site or IT systems may be hosted outside Oman. Where data is transferred abroad, we will obtain your express consent and ensure protection not less than that required by Oman’s PDPL.
Retention
Operational records (orders, invoices) are kept as needed for service and legal requirements. Chat transcripts and delivery details are kept for at least 3 months unless you ask us to delete them (see rights below).
Your rights
You may submit a written request to:
- access or get a copy of your data;
- correct or delete your data;
- stop processing while we review your request;
- withdraw consent at any time.
We aim to respond within 45 days as required by the PDPL executive regulations.
Security & breaches
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege). If a breach risks individuals’ rights, we will follow PDPL procedures and notify the competent authority as required.
Marketing choices
Marketing via WhatsApp/SMS/email is opt-in only. You can opt out at any time by replying “STOP” (WhatsApp/email) or by contacting us.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. For minors, a parent/guardian must provide consent where applicable.
Changes
We may update this Policy. The latest version is always available at gloclean.om/privacy with the “Last updated” date.
